Alison Gill’s sculpture, drawing and installation works with a subversion of everyday reality through exploring weird and eerie narratives of human and non-human entities, enacting strange encounters, launching material experimentation and perverse temporalities. This approach questions how we perceive ourselves as embodied, affective and relational subjects. The carefully executed work guides us through an intimacy with the world. They investigate how meaning, desire and value are assigned, produced and resisted through displacement and transformation of social and ecological relations within a diffuse beastly system.
